Big weekend
Before i start lets do some recap on what had happened during the week.Hmm... Arsenal regained their confidence with Henry back on-form.Unfortunately our next game is 2 weeks away so it's gonna be a pretty boring period. The Champions League group looks easy and Arsenal better come out with some good results and qualify early so we can concentrate on the Premier League.
Well the Children's Theatre Festival was fuuuuunnnnnn.Well,actually our feeling was totally the opposite at the beginning of the trip.Only 12 people came, the bus came about 2 hours late,and we got stuck in a sucky theatre workshop.Imagine a guy with bad English[not to mention bad voice] trying to copy a scene from 'Sesame Street' with 'Wayang Kulit' style.Thank God the kids were adorable and obedient.During the workshop i spent some time with the kids,helping them to cut cardboards to make a 'wayang kulit' prop.Did i say how cute they were?Funny thing happened when i was trying to introduce myself to them.The kid's name is Daryl and he was with his friend Alan.Lemme write the scene as a dialogue ;
Scene 1
[Wafi was trying to introduce himself to Daryl and Alan while they were playing planes and dinasour with pieces of cardboard]
wafi:hello there.what u guys doin?
Alan:hie
Daryl:hey, mother told me not to talk to strangers[whispering to Alan]
wafi:oh yeah? Well i'm not a stranger
Daryl:u're not?
wafi:Nope.tell me ure name then
Daryl:U tell me u're name first!
wafi:No, u first!
Daryl:No,u first!
wafi:u first [showing funny face]
Daryl:.. my name is Daryl, this is Alan and that is Chee Keong
[mission accomplished]
And they were very friendly and of coz, playful. All the other kids then start to talk to me and play with me.They were naughty all right, but not as naughty as my nephews back home and that is a big plus. After the workshop,we spent hours waiting in line for the next show and unfortunately the place was too small and there were alot of kids around. We end up watching only one show in Balai Seni Lukis Negara but the show was worth the wait. The title was 'sampah' and those kids were professional and nothing like what the title suggests. It's an educational play to teach these kids about cleanliness with the background of an animal kingdom.
After that we went to MTC for a storytelling session[yipee!!!].The storyteller was a Canadian, Katherine McLeod and she was excellent. But the highlight of the show must be when she took a hanky from her .. well .. chest and drop it on the floor for Mark to pick up.It seems like in the good old days women will drop a hanky in front of the guy that she likes to show the she's available.Well, that certainly saves a lot of time and effort doesn't it.
After that we went to KLCC to have dinner and a little walkaround[cuci mata lor].The final show is a superb play from a group from Italy entitled Sergatura which means sawdust. It was really creative of them to present the play like they did.Even though we couldn't understand the words they said but we still end up laughing and rolling on the seats.A small note here, there was also a hot Italian chick with hot pants in the cast. She also has a very cuteeee voice and to tell the truth her voice is still ringing in my ears. Then we went back with happy thoughts in our mind :D
Well today i got a big game coming up,a MMU SuperCup fixture against a team called Savadi.I'm playing for a team called Tau Takpe and theyre a bunch of nice fellows.I hope i will play well and won't dissapoint them.I'm actually still dissapointed Suspek FC didn't get to register in time for the Cup as i'm more comfortable playing with them. But this certainly serves a valuable lesson to the ehem-ehem management so that they won't repeat the mistake in the future.Well, wish me luck ok.
